Monaco - New development

The aim of the project is to upgrade the site currently occupied by the Sporting d’Hiver building so that this exceptional site in the centre of Monte-Carlo can regain its historic role in the city's economic, social and cultural development.

The Sporting d'Hiver building will be replaced by three buildings, which will form part of an urban development project with a mixed real estate programme combining shops, high quality housing, offices and leisure and cultural areas.  To retain the architectural memory of the former Sporting d’Hiver, the Salle Des Arts, which is probably its most striking element, will be rebuilt as an exact copy within this contemporary framework.

Among the priority tasks assigned to the architect (Lord Rogers) is the need to design a package that will renew the district by making it a lively, convivial place, with exemplary green urban planning and sustainable development – 30% more space will be available to the public on the landscaped site.  A new, tree-lined pedestrian route in the centre of the site will link the Avenue des Beaux-Arts to the gardens at the top of the Place du Casino.

Oman - the antithesis of Dubai

Having been there ourselves, we cannot speak highly enough of Oman.
