How would you like to travel to Cannes?

Journey times by train from London to Cannes compare favourably with air travel when you take into account check in and security requirements. The last part of the journey will take you along the beautiful Côte d'Azur – look out for yachts and some stunning villas.

There are several options with journey times of about six hours and prices start from £68:

  • Take a Eurostar train direct from London to Avignon or Marseilles, and then a connecting train to Cannes
  • Take a Eurostar from London to Paris and a TGV (France’s intercity high-speed rail service) from Gare de Lyon to Cannes

Meanwhile, to compete with low cost airlines, SNCF (France’s state-owned rail company) is expanding its no frills brand OUIGO to include services from the Gare de Lyon to Nice and Cannes. Fares will start at the unbelievably low price of €19 one way with services scheduled to start early in 2019.
